Getting to 1,000 “true” fans as quickly as possible is your ultimate goal in blogging.

Once you have that, you’ll be able to make a comfortable living from your passion project. (Note: I say “TRUE” fans…i.e. people that would literally buy anything from you. These are very hard to get, but worth trying).

One way to do gain these true fans is by going above and beyond for them. Personally.

Want to strengthen your reader loyalty?

  1. Identify a common enemy (you and your readers have)
  2. Share that enemy in your marketing, images, content, etc!

Ex: Personal finance bloggers LOVE to unite behind crushing debt. Fitness bloggers LOVE to unite behind weight-gains!

Find a common enemy, and use that in your marketing efforts.

Increase click-throughs with this emotional tactic

Using your headline as your social media copy is easy. It’s what everyone does, because it works….mostly.

Try this hack instead: Rather than just using the headline, post how you FEEL about the content you’re sharing.

For example:

“This is quickly becoming the favorite thing I’ve ever written.” or “I was scared to even post this. It’s embarrassing.”

These get click-throughs and will drive traffic!
